Meh........ Where are all of the right wing trump supporters? Did you all expect this? All your supposed tax cuts are now going in your gas tanks. Yup, not a peep out of trump supporters, I wonder why. Maybe it's jus something they can't overlook and come up with excuses for.

If Bolton & his Neo cons are successful in going to war in Iran gas will be $5-6 /gal.

Thanks, republicans. Guess they have to raise money somehow. And we taxpayers subsidize the oil industry already.

I guess drumpf wants us to burn coal in our cars now.

Trump owns that. He also owns all the rising costs on everything else because of higher gas prices & general inflation.

Trump's fault! He always wants to take credit when it's not due, he gets to take blame now.

In a little known room just off the corner of the oval office there are three levers. They are marked "Unleaded", "Midgrade" and "Premium". The President has the power to move those levers up or down. ~S

Increased telecommuting is a more attractive option, for those employers that can offer it. Why leave the house to go to work if you can do your job just as effectively in your PJ's? Rising gas prices do make me appreciate my humble little hoopty - no car payment, low insurance costs, and 40mpg.

Where I live this is a 25% increase. 2 dollar gas to 2.50 cent gas.

It is (as rising gas prices always do) fueling inflation. The tax cut is fueling inflation.

Paradoxically full employment even with below reasonable wages is fueling inflation.

    GDP--- stagnant, or nearly stagnant.

Federal Deficit--- humongous even in this time of 'full employment.'

Cause of this --- voodoo economics.

If we are hitting Iran hard; then Saudi Arabia should help out and increase production.

$1.89/gallon Nov 6, 2016 on the eve of the election ... I drive to local hospitals on call for my job, it now costs me $2000-$2400 more per year just to go to work plus my lost deductions ... all this winning

....But I thought getting out of the Iran deal, the new tax cut trickle downing, and clean coal was supposed to keep gas more affordable?.....Oh, and I forgot about the abolishing of the Obama era mpg regulations for the auto industry.

  • samtheman3383

I remember when gas prices came close to $4.00 a gallon under Obama. Obama said no President can dictate world Oil Prices. So when the Trump bashing starts lets all remember what Obama said.

Great article in Barrons Financial mag. That tax giveaway passed by republicans has done very little to help the middle-class. They say the windfall corporations received have not been used to create jobs or invest in their businesses but fo stock buybacks and corporate bonuses. They have a chart showing more business growth occurred during the last administration then under Trump
